One of my favorite things to do in Sussex County is go to the local farms. Going to the farms in every season is so much fun. There are different things to do at each of them in the fall including picking pumpkins, doing corn mazes, and petting adorable animals. It makes for such a perfect experience of the season. Here are my top 3 I enjoy going to:
Anderson Farms
Going to Anderson Farms is definitely my favorite. I love going here in the spring and summer when the weather is nice. Usually, when I go there I go inside to get ice cream first. Outside there is tables where you can eat it and right by them is animals like goats, bunnies, and chickens to look at. It’s so much fun to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere.
Heaven Hill Farm
My family goes here every winter to get our Christmas tree. Once we pick it out I always go inside to the little store. In there, I enjoy looking at all the local brands and different things to get. My favorite part of it is getting candy before I leave. I love getting the chocolate jelly ones because they are so good.
Ideal Farm
This is the perfect place to go to in the fall. I love going here to pick out pumpkins and to pet the animals. In the store here, there are so many delicious pies and other baked goods. This farm is such a great environment and place to be with nature.
