Free Space Program in Jenny Jump Forest!

Are you interested in amateur astronomy? Would you like to be able to look through top-of-the-line telescopes for free in one of the last dark sky areas in New Jersey? Look no further than Jenny Jump State Forest, located in Hope, NJ.

Throughout the months of April through October, you can visit on Saturdays for free for a quick astronomy lesson and then to see the wonders of space through plenty of very sophisticated telescopes. I’ve been many times and have seen views of all the planets, shooting stars, the moon and the International Space Station whizzing by. In the winter, they have online events, so check out their website here: UACNJ

Overall, this is a hidden gem for those of us who live in Northern New Jersey. The owners of the telescopes are so nice and welcoming and excited to talk to you about the cosmos.
