Most of you have heard of this app before. Most of you also probably use this app daily just like me. For those who do not know what Spotify is, I will happily explain it. Spotify is an app that is primarily used for listening to music. However, that is not the end of its features with app also allowing access to various audiobooks and podcasts for one to listen to. With an almost endless variety of musicians and creators to choose from it is almost impossible not to be able to find something that you like on this app, whether it be a specific song or podcast, Spotify has it. Another plus is that Spotify at its base is free and open to use for whoever uses it. However, the downside to the base version is that ads will play periodically in between songs while you are listening to music, and you are not allowed to skip around your playlist. To get rid of all of this you need to pay for the premium version. Now there four different plans for premium that apply for different people, however all of these plans cost under twenty dollars a month with the first month of premium being free which for what you get in return is in my opinion a pretty good deal, giving you unlimited skips and no ads while listening to your music.
My experience with Spotify
As mentioned before, I personally use Spotify in my daily life. I have a premium version of Spotify using the family plan which makes the fee super cheap when everyone contributes to it, allowing everyone to happily listen to our own music. Whether it be when I am driving, studying, or even just laying down to relax, I listen to my music on Spotify. Even currently writing this post I am listening to Spotify.
Pros
- An almost endless selection of music, podcasts, and audiobooks to listen to
- Relatively Cheap for Premium or could use for free
- Easily Accessible and to use
Cons
- The free version is more restricted in it’s use
