If you’re looking for a fancy night out to eat Stone Water in Lake Hopatcong, NJ is the place to go. This restaurant is right on the lake and sitting outside gives you an amazing view, especially if you go around sunset. Even if you’re sitting inside there are enormous windows that allow you to look out at the lake. This place is a bit more pricey than your average diner, but nothing too outrageous. It is definitely worth every penny.
Stone Water has an amazing variety of cocktails and other drinks. It’s almost hard to choose because each cocktail sounds like it would taste delicious. Their ‘Spring Bee’ cocktail consists of “Brockman’s Peaflower infused gin, lemon, Bamboo honey, and elderflower” and it’s such a wonderful combination of flavors. The staff there is also incredibly nice and I have never had a bad experience with service.
The food menu is equally hard to choose from as well. Everything on the menu sounds appetizing, I wish I could just order the whole thing. Last time I went here I had the scallops, and as a seafood lover they really lived up to my high expectations. A few more examples of dishes are the wagyu beef burger, halibut, and a wide variety of steaks that are to die for. They also have a charcuterie board you can order as an appetizer, which comes with the chef’s choice of cheese & cured meat pairing with house made
specialties.
