The Slap Chop became popular because of the man in the infomercial Vince Offer. Vince had a unique way of selling the product. People enjoyed the commentary that Vince had in the video. He was also known for being in the infomercial for the ShamWow. He did commercials for as seen on TV products.
Honest Opinion
I think that the Slap Chop is a very helpful item to use. I have never used it but after watching the infomercial I think it is a useful product. For starters, it takes away the dangers of accidentally cutting yourself. The Slap Chop has an in closed container which prevents any accidents. The Slap Chop also allows for quicker chopping. It would take so much longer to individually slice pieces of something. In two or three hits of the button on the top, the thing you are trying to chop is chopped. I think that the Slap Chop could also be child friendly. Since a knife is very dangerous for a child to use the Slap Chop could be an alternative. It seems very easy to use and safe for children.

The Slap Chop itself does not have an official website but Amazon sells it. On Amazon the Slap Chop stands at a 3.7 out of 5 stars. The reviews are a mix of good and bad. One Amazon reviewer states, ” The Slap Chop does everything the infomercial said it would. The key thing to remember is that its called Slap Chop, not the Gently Push and Chop. You really need to slap that handle to get the food to come out like the infomercial. Food sticks easily to the blades which will make the thing harder to clean. Notice how in the infomercial they show how easy it is to open for cleaning, but doesn’t show the actual cleanup. You can minimize the stuck food by rinsing the Slap Chop in between each ingredient, but cleanup isn’t going to be much of a breeze no matter what.
The biggest downsize of the Slap Chop is that it is too small. You may think that’ll work fine for someone living alone. The problem is that you still need to cut your food into smaller portions that’ll fit the Slap Chop and by the time you’re cutting the food down to size, you’ll rather finish the job manually anyway. I really can’t recommend the Slap Chop to anybody but you will get some use out of it if you disregard my advice and buy it anyway, (RobertoC_73).”
Conclusion
The Slap Chop could be a valuable piece of someone’s kitchen. It allows for a quick way to chop up food. The Slap Chop would benefit if it was bigger. If it was bigger it would allow for more food to be chopped at one. I think overall this is a good product.
