
What is Pure Barre, you ask? For one, it is life changing. Second, it is method of exercise that incorporates traditional ballet choreography mixed with resistance and weight training. It is a full body workout set to energizing and uplifting musical playlists in a group fitness setting. What is the Classic Foundations Class? It is a small group class that introduces the basic movements you will see in class. Foundations will help you see how the technique works and you’ll feel the benefits associated with a full body barre workout.

Who can do Pure Barre? Anyone! Classes are designed for all levels of experience. There are modifications that may be used to further aid anyone with a prior injury, or someone who is deconditioned. Even pregnant women may take barre, with their physician’s approval, of course. Men find it to be a fun challenge as well. As a pure barre instructor myself, I personally challenged my cousin to take a class; he is a Marine and a bodybuilder. I am excited to see how well he fairs in class. Side note: It took me months but I finally nailed my 90 second plank! It is harder than you think! It is so rewarding when you see your hard work pay off.
